The "Finnster, et al."

In December of 2013, Judge Brown asked if I would serve on his re-election committee. Seeing as how I practice regularly in his courtroom, and I think he is a great Judge, this was a "no-brainer" for me. We called ourselves "The Committee to Re-Elect Judge Barry Brown."  The committee comprised of myself, Samantha Grosland, Debrah Frizzell, Sue Dunning, Sallie Brown, Evan Espey, Pat Vantrease, Ricky Bradley, Walter Stubbs, Jay Ingrum, Jay Longmire, Donna Lucas, and Gary Williams. My role on the Committee was to handle media work, i.e.,  Facebook, newspapers, website.  No, I didn't create the website, I was just the point person. This morning I told Finn and Sam that we three were going to do something fun together.  I said, we can have a "girls night!!"  When Michael and the boys hangout they call it "boys night" I didn't mean to call it a "girls night" but I just said before thinking.  Finn looked a time really funny and said, "okay mom, but I'm still a boy."  I asked Finn what he wanted to do for our fun night and he told me that he wanted to make a craft.  You see Finn spends much of his mornings trolling around YouTube looking for good idea.  Yesterday he found a video on how to make mutagen with Borax, water, glue and food coloring. After picking the boys up from school we went to Wal-Mart to get the supplies.  I had the Borax already so we picked up clear glue and food coloring.  After a very healthy supper of Fruit Loops, and a bath, the boys sat down at the kitchen table to make mutagen. On Saturday we celebrated Aunt Chelsea earning her Master's Degree is Marriage and Family Counseling.  I attended the outdoor ceremony at Trevecca.  Finn and Sam did not attend the ceremony for obvious reasons. After the graduation ceremony we went to Ellendale's for lunch. Finn and Sam were not fan's of the buffet and instead at chicken nuggets and cinnamon ice cream. In order to keep Sam happy and occupied through the entire meal, I set Sam up with a "read-with-me" book in a quiet corner of the private room.  Finn soon joined him. As Finn was sitting in the floor, the serve accidentally spilled an huge glass of beer on Finn's head and down the back of his shirt.  He smelled like yeast the rest of the day. Michael and I have started to notice how much Finn and Sam really love each other.  They are practically inseparable now.  Sure they fight and yell at each other regularly, but they seems to really enjoy fighting and yelling at each other - which does my heart good.  When they aren't fighting and yelling, they are playing nicely together. This week they have been playing with there little cars, their Godzilla toys and there ninja turtles.  Whether it is inside or outside, these boys are stuck like to glue to each other. Last weekend, Sam went to spend the weekend with Grandad and Gigi.  Finn spent the weekend with me and Michael. Around 7:00 on Thursday night, Finn told me that he really missed Sam.  He said that he loved playing with Sam and that he really wanted Sam to come home and play with him.  Finn whole affect changed - he looked all "down in the dumps."  This sentiment continued until Saturday night when Sam finally came home.
