Papa Juice

This morning Finn slept until 7:30 (sweet boy). Once up we went downstairs to bake cookies. While I was baking Finn checked his Facebook account.



After another successful day in the nursery Finn came home and took a good nap. When he woke up he ran around the house like a wild horse. We played "Mama Fast" for what felt like forever. This game is really simple - Finn will say "Mama Fast" and I will tear off through the house as fast I can go. Then Finn will run after me - he runs as fast has he can with his mouth wide open and holds his arms open. When he finally reaches me he gives me an enormous hug.

Around 4:00 Gran and Pa stopped by with some wood.

Finn helped unload. . .

And stack.
Right before bed I let Finn look through the photo album. Finn loves looking at pictures. After looking for a few minutes he stopped on a picture, pointed and said, "Papa Juice."



He was referring to Papa Bruce. I asked him who the baby was and he said "Finn." Sorry Rex.

Ghouls at Grassmere

Yesterday we took the boys to Ghouls at Grassmere.  Day started out pretty traumatic for Sam.  He wanted to go out and play.  He started to notice that there were several little worms on the porch.  He was terrified that the worms were going to get him so he sat in the porch swing with me for almost an hour.  Finn spent his time finding worms and then stepping on them.  Michael doesn't like for Finn to kill worms because they aren't hurting anything.  I reminded Finn of this fact and told him not to kill any more worms.  After a few minutes I start to hear more crunching.  I decide to take a different approach.  I told Finn, "Finn - the momma worm is going to be so sad because you killed the baby."  He looks at me and said, "don't worry mom - I'm gonna kill the momma too."  So much for the guilt trip. After a nap, it was time to start getting ready for the Zoo.  We started with the tights.  I bought Finn little girl tights to wear under his costume

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Spirit Week Day 4 - Board Game day

Day 4 of Spirit Week was really difficult.  The kids were to dress as their favorite board game.  Hurdle #1: Finn doesn't play board games.  Hurdle # 2:  How in the world do you dress up like a board game?  This was one difficult.  Since Finn doesn't play board games I had to think back to when I was child and go from there.  I finally came to "Checkers" - so I spent the night before cutting out red and black paper circles.  It actually ended up looking more like "Connect Four" but Finn hasn't ever heard of "Connect Four" we stuck with "Checkers." Gran picked Finn up from school again today and took him to the library.  Before going to the library they stopped at the house to pick up his library books.  Finn only had two (2) of his checkers still stuck to his shirt.  I found out today that Finn got a bloody nose after getting pegged in the face with a ball and that he didn't get a star today because he didn't follow dir
