Christmas Eve/Christmas with Gran and Pa

Image
Today is Christmas Eve - my favorite actual day of the Christmas holidays. The anticipation has always been the fun part for me. This morning Finn and I got up and ate breakfast just like any normal morning. After breakfast Finn decided that he was still hungry but instead of putting him back in his booster seat I let him sit in the den on his frog blanket and eat "Lucky Charms." That little act earned me a lot of extra brownie points. After "second breakfast" Finn started wrestling with Kodiak. At one point both Finn and Kodiak were rolling around on the floor. I thought Finn had won when all of a sudden Kodiak jerked his head back and bit Finn right on the cheek. Finn looked heart broken. He buried his head in the carpet and cried a little bit. There was no blood or broken skin, only a bruised ego. Shortly thereafter Finn took a short nap while Michael and ate breakfast and "got our Lost on." During Finn's nap I started thinkin...

Christmas with Grandad and GiGi

On Tuesday Grandad picked Finn up from Victoria's house to take back to Tullahoma for a visit. I have been told that when Finn saw his Grandad he started throwing all of his food off of his booster seat and said "up." While visiting with Grandad and GiGi Finn went to his first basketball game. While Finn was at the game I was in Wal-Mart shopping for Christmas goodies. It was about that time that I got a call from Dad/Grandad. I called back and asked Dad what he wanted. As it turns out Finn had gotten a hold of Dad's cell phone and called me. I know it was completely coincidental, but I thought it was sweet nonetheless. After work Michael and I went to Tullahoma to spend time with Dad, Gigi and Lauren for Christmas. When we got there Finn showed us his new snow globe. He loves this snow globe! It plays music and has a train that moves around inside. I couldn't help but post a ton of these because they are all so good. The next part of the even...

Stackin Wood

Finn has spent countless hours playing in or at least trying to play in the porcelain bowl in the bathroom. Finn now knows that bowl is called the "poddy." If you ask Finn to show you the poddy he will run into the bathroom whilst screaming poddy over and over again. I am hoping that indicates that Finn will be easy to potty train. Tonight Finn helped his Dad and Pa stack wood. After bundling him up, he ran around in the yard. I would run away from him and then he would run towards me as fast has his legs could carry him yelling "un." Then he got caught in the rain gutter thing and fell over. Finally he chewed on some branches that we saved to use as kindling. After dinner Finn played in the bathtub for a few minutes. This is picture of Finn playing his new bathtub game. We call it empty. Basically, we fill up an old shampoo bottle with water and let Finn empty it. This could entertain Finn for hours. After his bath Finn and packed his suitcase an...
