Haircut and Birthday Party

On Saturday I took one look at Sam's mop and decided that come hell or high water, he must get a haircut today! We decided to try out the new kids haircut place in the Public's shopping Center in Gallatin. All the way over Sam kept asking, "am I getting my haircut."  He didn't seem too nervous or upset so I was encouraged.
When we walked him Sam immediately saw the car and asked to ride in the "Harry Potter" car.

As expected, Sam hated the clippers.  I put him in a headlock and told the lady to "cut away."  Since Sam's hair grows so quickly - he has to have the clippers.

During his cut he kept looking at me and saying, "look at my hairdo."  He was not happy.

The finished product turned out great! Now it Finn's turn (we didn't have time for both boys to get a haircut).

Later in the day we took the boys to Chuck E Cheese for Jamarion's birthday party.  Sam loves Jamarion and spent most of the day chasing after him yelling "Hi Jamarion!".  The boys were very sweet to Sam.  They did their best to get him into the jungle gym.  Finn pulled his arms from the top and Jamarion lifted him from behind.  Despite their best efforts Sam was too scared to go in to the tunnel part and alas I was forced to in after him - in a dress.  It was small and awkward to say the least.

The boys had a ball!  They played almost all of the games.  Finn and Jamarion spent a lot of time with the water squirter gamer, and the snowboard video game.  Sam loved this little car.  Near the end he decided that he was going to ride in the mouse's lap and squeeze his little tush right in. He looked ridiculous.

After playing for a while they ate pizza and watched the show.  That show was awful (at least from an adult's perspective).

Then we took pictures with Chuck E.  Finn ended up photo-bombing another kids picture.  There was about eight kids from another party sitting with Chuck E.  Finn walked right up and squeezed in between two kids.  I had the hardest time getting him out.  Next it was his turn.

What a difference four (4) years makes.  This was Finn at 8 months with Chuck E.

After cake and ice cream the boys played some more and it time to go to the house.

Both boys were pretty keyed up but still managed to sleep like rocks.
