Booster Seat

This morning Finn went to church with Nana and Papa. We sat up in the balcony where Finn bounced for the first 30 minutes. Right after the music ended Finn got fussy so I took him down to the nursery to feed him. After he finished eating he let out a huge burp. This tickled another mother in the room.

Next we went to Nana and Papa's Sunday School class where Finn was counted as a visitor! While in Sunday school Finn gnawed on my unopened coke can presumably to help with the tooth pain. It really looked like he was drinking from the can. Of course we couldn't stay for Sunday school so I took Finn home.

By the time we got to Mom's house Finn had fallen asleep in the car. Since he was so restless the night before I decided to let him sleep. He slept in the car for almost two hours. The car was in the cool garage and the engine was off but I still felt like a bad mom.

After Finn woke up we had dinner. During dinner Finn sat in the booster seat on top of the table. For lunch Finn had a graham cracker, a saltine cracker and a corn muffin. I don't think that he ate any of it because there was a mountain of crumbled up food in the tray. He did manage to eat some mashed potatoes and a little bit of corn. Finn had a ball playing in the booster chair.

Ghouls at Grassmere

Yesterday we took the boys to Ghouls at Grassmere.  Day started out pretty traumatic for Sam.  He wanted to go out and play.  He started to notice that there were several little worms on the porch.  He was terrified that the worms were going to get him so he sat in the porch swing with me for almost an hour.  Finn spent his time finding worms and then stepping on them.  Michael doesn't like for Finn to kill worms because they aren't hurting anything.  I reminded Finn of this fact and told him not to kill any more worms.  After a few minutes I start to hear more crunching.  I decide to take a different approach.  I told Finn, "Finn - the momma worm is going to be so sad because you killed the baby."  He looks at me and said, "don't worry mom - I'm gonna kill the momma too."  So much for the guilt trip. After a nap, it was time to start getting ready for the Zoo.  We started with the tights.  I bought Finn little girl tights to wear under his costume

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Spirit Week Day 4 - Board Game day

Day 4 of Spirit Week was really difficult.  The kids were to dress as their favorite board game.  Hurdle #1: Finn doesn't play board games.  Hurdle # 2:  How in the world do you dress up like a board game?  This was one difficult.  Since Finn doesn't play board games I had to think back to when I was child and go from there.  I finally came to "Checkers" - so I spent the night before cutting out red and black paper circles.  It actually ended up looking more like "Connect Four" but Finn hasn't ever heard of "Connect Four" we stuck with "Checkers." Gran picked Finn up from school again today and took him to the library.  Before going to the library they stopped at the house to pick up his library books.  Finn only had two (2) of his checkers still stuck to his shirt.  I found out today that Finn got a bloody nose after getting pegged in the face with a ball and that he didn't get a star today because he didn't follow dir
