All Done
Last night Finn demonstrated his ability to comprehend the concept of an empty plate. At some point in the evening Michael ate a piece of left over birthday cake from Cooper's party. When he had finished the cake he sat the empty plate down next to him on the couch. Finn walked up to the plate took a brief look at it and said "all done." I have to say I was pretty impressed. He did the same thing tonight with the apple dumplings.
This morning Finn hung out with Kodiak while I made monkey bread for my Sunday School girls.
Today was a good day for Finn in the nursery; he didn't cry at all when I dropped him off. When we went to pick him up he had been moved to a new room. Poor Finn is always the last one to be picked up every week. He has to sit and watch as all the other childrens' parents come to get them. They have told us that watching this makes Finn cry. John picked JT up at the same time we were picking up Finn (JT was in a different room). Finn caught a quick glimpse of JT as John carried him out of the nursery area. John was moving a lot faster than we were and after a few seconds they had disappeared up the steps. Finn panicked. He ran to the steps as quick as he could calling out JT's name. When he realized that JT wasn't coming back Finn began to cry. I was a bit shocked by Finn's behavior.
When we got home Finn took a nice nap and then he spent the rest of the afternoon begging for crackers.
Finn is no longer satisfied with one cracker at a time. He now requires a cracker for each hand. When he is close to finishing one he demands another one to hold on to.
After lunch Gran and Pa dropped by to drop off Finn's carseat and then Finn took another long nap. It is now around 7:00. Finn is sitting in Michael lap reading "Daisy's Pet Project" for the Hundredth time. He loves that book. It may be too early to know for sure, but tonight while Finn was reading his "book of numbers" he indicated that he may start counting fairly soon. Like I said, may be too early to know for sure so I will leave this alone until we know more.

I do believe that Finn and Kodiak are on the same wave length as far as intelligence and curiosity. First Goober and Gomer played with the door stopper.

I got a little snap happy this afternoon.
