Wide Mouth Frog
Today was Finn's nine (9) month well baby check up. He weighs 24 pounds, 13 oz. and he is 28 inches long. Finn has actually not gained a pound since his surgery!!!! (I forgot to bring my camera to the pediatrician's office so I didn't get any pictures.) During the entire appointment Finn played on the floor with his "Thumper" book. Finn's appointment went very well. He is developing normally and she told us not to be concerned about the fact that he isn't crawling yet.
We learned that Finn is now able to have 8 oz. of whole milk everyday (when he is 11 months he can have up to 20 oz) and he can also have a little bit of crystal light mixed in with his water to give it a little flavor . She still doesn't want us to give him juice because it is in effect just sugar water. We can give him just about any table food other than honey, grapes, shrimp and peanut butter. We are still not suppose to give him anything sweeter than fruit.
These next pictures are just a series of Finn clapping.
This picture also reminds of something hilarious that Finn does when he says "up." He opens his mouth as wide as he possibly can, lowers his chin and says "up." He really pops that "p" too. You can tell that he is really thinking about the word as he says it. I get tickled every time I see him say it because he reminds of that "wide mouth frog" joke. You could seriously fit a tennis ball in his mouth when he says "up".
After dinner Finn and I played with Mr. Peepers. We also learned a new way to play with his jumper. I put Mr. Peepers in the jumper and Finn played on the outside.
Before putting Finn to bed tonight I decided to give him a little bit of cow's milk . . . it was a hit.
