Big Yawn

Okay, today was a really boring day. We didn't do anything productive today whatsoever. In fact, I didn't even shower today.

Finn woke up at about 7:30 this morning which was really unfortunate because he didn't bother to go sleep the night before until around 3:00ish. Upon waking up Finn was immediately ready for breakfast. He seriously eats more than any 8 pound human should eat. He has definitely inherited his Mom and Dad's appetite. He was finally finished around 10:00. Now you may be asking how in the world did this child eat for 2 and half hours. Well, I have a theory. I don't think he was eating the whole the time. If he had been, his stomach would explode and we would have an entirely different problem on our hands. After breakfast/brunch, Finn and I rocked in our super deluxe glider for an hour. Then Michael went to Zaxby's to get us some lunch.

After lunch Finn and I took a long (3 hour) nap on the couch. After he woke up, Michael gave him a bottle. I have no idea what happened from about 5:30 through the rest of the night. As I said, it was a boring day. Maybe I shouldn't say boring - Finn is never boring. The day may be better characterized as uneventful.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
