Last Night on the Beach

On our last night at the beach Sharon and Gran planned a 1st Birthday party for Mason on the beach.




 While Mason was having his picture taken, the boys played in the sand. 


Will really loved the beach.  He could have spent the whole week playing in the sand and chasing seagulls. 


Sam and Henry found a hole.  I told Sam to try not to get his pants wet - so he held them up (really high) the whole time.



I just love Sam's little legs.

The sky was really pretty so we took several pictures. 


Sam took this picture (that is why he is not in it).  Sam really enjoys taking pictures.  He takes his time and tries to center the picture properly. 


Finn took this one.  Finn was not so meticulous. 






Sam was so excited to write his name in the sand.  The last time we went to the beach Sam was too young to write.

Next we went back to the condo and had dinner, cake and presents. 


Then we took Pa out to catch crabs . . . and we actually caught some this time. 







We saw three or four.  Finn spotted everyone of them.  They are translucent - so they are really difficult to see. 






Once we got back to the room, the boys conked out.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
