VD and Osteoarthritis

Let me start off my saying that this was not one of our better Valentine's Days.  It started very early for us. Michael left the house at 4:00 a.m. to drive with Gran to Williamson Medical Center for Surgery.  This left me to get all of the boys ready and out of the door by 7:00 a.m.  On my way to the bus stop I got a call from Gran informing me that Michael's surgery was going to be a bit more complicated than they had originally thought and that he was not permitted to drive for four (4) weeks. This was not at all what I wanted to hear.  I pushed that thought to the back of my mind and dropped the boys off at the bus stop and went to work.  Work was hard.  I got yelled at several times during the Child Support Docket.  I'll tell you, nothing screams Valentine's Day better than two divorced people yelling at each other over child support.  Because Michael's surgery went later than we originally thought, Gran was not available to pick the boys u...

My Valentines

Image
After work on Friday, Michael and I went went out on a date.  We ate dinner at Johnathan's and then we went to see "The Post."  We went to the Indian Lake theater - like normal - but we were elated to see that they had taken all of the regular chairs out and replaced them with recliners!  With great anticipation we settled in with our Skittles and Reece's and waited for the movie to start.  After a few minutes we noticed two other couples stroll in the theater.  One couple sat right next to me and the other sat right next to Michael.  It didn't feel weird until the other couples reclined too.  I really did feel like I was laying in a big bed with six people.  It was really strange.  But like most everything else in life, I got used to it and enjoyed myself despite it.  While we were out at the movies, Gran came over and helped Finn and Sam design and construct their Valentine boxes.  Finn's was an Oklahoma City Box and Sam's w...

Online Ordering

Image
Yesterday as I was getting ready for work, I walk in my room to find Sam lying on my bed reading "Muscle and Fitness" magazine.  He tells me, "Mom, this turkey and these blueberries look delicious so I am going to order them online."  He is so precious. Will eating peanut butter.  When I get the peanut butter out to make sandwiches, Will drags his little chair over to the middle of the floor and begs or a spoonful.

Learning to Play

Will has now hopped on the WWE bandwagon.  He can sit and play with wrestling figures for at least 30 minutes (which is a long time in baby world).  He likes to fight with them in the ring.  It is so cute to watch him play.  Before he would just carry toys around.  Now, he knows how to play them them. Yesterday when I went to get him out of bed, I found him standing in his crib pointing and reaching for one of the wrestling figures that was completely out of reach on the other side of the room.  He was so excited when I gave it to him. He also likes to make the boys' other toys wrestle as well. But his favorite thing to play with is still a ball.  Will doesn't say a whole lot; mostly "no."  However, Will often talks about balls.  Yesterday as we were walking into school, Will starting pointing to the building and yelling "BALL." There must have been a ball in his class that he was really excited about playing with.  ...

Super Bowl

Last Sunday the Begley small group/Sunday School class met at the student building at Long Hollow for the Super Bowl. Having it at the church was great because the kids spent most of the night running in the meeting halls. This worked out particularly great for Will. Will really liked the half-time show. He shimmied the whole thing.
