Coming Home

When we got home from the hospital we entered to find a perfectly clean home! It was the best gift! I learned that Chelsea had come by and she and Deniece had cleaned the house. I had already decided that once I got home I was going to spend some time cleaning the house - having a clean house made our homecoming so enjoyable.

Later on Deniece and Chelsea came with Zaxby's salads. We turned "Cars" on for Finn and we all sat around and either played with Finn or held Sam.

When we put Finn to bed he told us that he wanted to pray for Sam and for Macey's Dad. Finn's prayers are so sweet.

We ended up going to bed around 11:00. I put Sam in the nap nanny and put him in the office part of our room. He did not sleep well. He was up at around 1:00 to eat. I put him in bed with us and fed him. Of course, I fell asleep. I didn't wake up again until about 3:00. Sam was ready to eat again. Once again I fell asleep and didn't wake up until 5:00. So basically Sam spent the entire night in our bed. Even though it is the most wonderful thing in the world - I don't want to get in the habit.

We ended up getting up at 5:00 and going downstairs for breakfast - Sam's not mine. We cuddled up in the rocking chair and when Sam was finished eating we fell asleep until 7:00 when Mom arrived.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
