PCB Day 3

 Today Finn like the ocean.  We played, "1, 2, 3, JUMP" in the waves.  Finn wanted to hang with me the whole time.  We jumped over several waves together. At one point Finn hugged and said, "I'm not afraid of anything."  We all know this isn't true.   Sam sat on the beach with grandad and slept the entire time.  We played at the ocean a lot today because the pool was closed.  Just like last year Finn was really upset when the ocean attempted to maliciously steal his toys.


 After the pool opened up we went to play for a while. Sam and I hung in the float while Grandad and Finn split a shaved ice.

 After the pool Michael and I went to the store to get food for supper. It was our night to prepare dinner.  We bought fresh tilapia and it was so good. Next we all get ready for the beach pictures.  The boys wore turquoise and the girls wore white. 


The lady that took our picture was really good and she got some great shots. I will post them later.  After the pictures we got ice cream and watched the Bachelorette.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
