PCB Days 2

On Sunday morning we awoke to find Hank and Coop!  They had arrived late in the night.  Finn woke me up at 5:30.  Michael immediately instructed Finn to go find grandad.  So Finn and Gradad and Gigi went walking on the beach at 6:00.  At around 8:00 we got up to the sounds of "Daeo."  Cooper was playing with his new monkey.  After waking up Lauren and I went for run.  Then we went down to the beach.




Finn was a little nervous about the beach.  Either Michael or I held him the entire time.  We didn't stay too terribly long at the beach because Sam got hungry and I didn't want to feed him in the sand.  When we got back to the pool I gave Sam a bottle and we fell asleep at the pool.

We didn't stay out too long because I was afraid of getting burned.  As it turns out Sam got a little pink on his belly, but it went in the next morning. 




I have to say that I have really enjoyed Sam this week.  He has been sweet and cuddly and happy the entire time. Yesterday I sat with him and snuggled for hours.

Before bed we watched a movie (21 Jumpstreet) and ate junk food.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
