Can I Play With Your IPAD . . .

. . . If I've heard it once, I've heard it a thousand time.  The biggest news of the week is that my IPad arrived at the front door.  Finn has been asking everyday for a week if my IPad is here yet? I made the mistake of explaining to Finn what an IPad is and then promised him that he could play with it.  Well, as much as I enjoy playing with the IPad, Finn's desire is insatiable.  As you can expect, Finn likes to watch Monster Jam videos on it.  Its kind of nice having the IPad around because for the most part Finn can operate it.



He does a great job selecting and playing the video he wants to watch.  All he has to do is touch the screen to operate it.

On Thursday we all went to get my IPad hooked up to our cell phone plan so that I can get internet anywhere.   First we went to Shane's for supper and then spent at least 45 minutes in the Verizon store.  Sam got restless so we just let him crawl all over the store. 

On Monday I worked half a day in Lebanon while the boys spent the morning with Gran. They came from a fun lunch at McDonalds with a Ninja Turtle car.


 Finn ate a whole cheeseburger!

 Sam probably did too.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
