First Dance

Finn had his first dance this year.  We made him go.  I think that if we had given him the option he would've opted out.  We didn't give him an option.  He was going! He was going to get his first dance out of the way. He had a basketball game earlier in the day.  Grandad and Gigi came to watch the game and then took him back home to help him get ready.  Michael and I had to go to the Reagan Day dinner that night, so we were unable to see him off.

This was a middle school dance.  The kids were not allowed to wear jeans or tennis shoes.

Grandad and Gigi took these pictures for us.  Grandad got to feeling a little insecure standing next to his 13-year-old grandson, so he decided to make a change . . .

There he goes - poor kid.

We talked to him later than evening after we were all back home. He didn't dance with anybody, and he got a little bored in the third hour (which is completely understandable), but he seemed to have a fine time.
