Three days, six hours and counting

Finn has not had a bowel movement for three days. The pediatrician told me to give him water mixed with dark Karo syrup or diluted prune juice. Sounds great in theory but for the fact that Finn won't take a bottle from his dear ol' mom and dad.
Earlier today Gran was able to give him some Karo water in his bottle. He wasn't crazy about it, but he tolerated it. Thankfully, Michael was able to give him a little more water before putting him to bed. He held the bottle on his own and drank a good bit of it. Near the end he was just chewing on the nipple. It seems to help his gums feel better. We put the bottle in the bed with him tonight and he sipped it for a few minutes before drifting off to sleep.
As for the constipation, I hope the water will do the trick - heaven help us if it does (we put a pad down in his crib just in case). If not, we will move on to more invasive measures . . . the suppository.
