Last Full Day

Today was our last full day in Panama City.  As always we started our day at the pool.   Grandad and Gigi left after a few minutes to go get a float for Sam.  While they were at the store Finn and I played "the cave." We walked by the waterfall/foliage area quietly and tried not to disturb the bears and sharks living in the cave.  When we made it safety out Finn would say that we had to go back in because we left our cellphones in the cave.  He had so much fun.  We played cave until Grandad and Gigi got back.  They came with a float for Sam and water gun/sword for Finn.



After their naps we took the boys down to the little pool. Finn carries his sword everywhere.  Notably, we carries it in the back of his shirt like a real "ninja."  Finn practice is "aim" at his toys.



Then the boys practiced their jumping.
Sam started jumping too - well, he would count "one, two, three" and just sort of lean in.





That night Grandad and Gigi went to dinner together while we played with the boys.  After they got home Michael and I went for a romantic dinner at "Shane's Barbecue."  The boys played outside until bedtime.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
