Matter

I'm not sure why, but Finn has the worst eye boogers. I have cleaned green goo out of the corners of his eyes every hour for the last two (2) days. This has just started and it is nasty. I didn't really know what caused it so I assumed he was sick. After browsing around on the internet it doesn't appear to be anything to get alarmed about, but he may need some eye drops.

This morning Finn ate tw0 (2) bowls of yogurt all by himself and didn't really even get all that messy.


Then Finn helped me clean the house. My stock rises significantly every time I pull out the vacuum cleaner.
Since it was so nice out today we took Finn to the park. Gran and Pa met out there too. First he looked at the ducks.


Then we played on the bridge.





We also played in the kid's play area. It was pretty muddy. Oh, and Finn still hates swinging. He didn't even like swinging with me.
Finn's mama showed great foresight by packing Finn's remote control Jeep. I put it on the side walk and Finn ran after it for a while. He looked so cute waddling after that Jeep. When he finally caught up with it he spent some time driving it the traditional way - "rear" wheel drive.

Finn overall had a great day at the park, but of all the really interesting stuff he had to look at and play with his favorite thing was to run around in the wide open space.

The things that we do to make our children happy. Just for the record, I risked life and limb for Finn and he couldn't have cared less.

After leaving the park we stopped at Sonic to get Finn a grilled cheese.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
