Maggie Moo's

This weekend Finn discovered his love of Maggie Moo's. On Saturday Finn was invited to a birthday party at Zoey's house. Zoey is the six year daughter of Gran and Pa's neighbors. Zoey is very fond of Finn so she invited him to her pool party. A life sized Maggie Moo came to the party and gave out ice cream. Finn talked about Maggie Moo the rest of the night.

Finn also discovered the closet this weekend. During the winter we keep a lot of blankets in the closet - Finn thought it was pretty fun to lay on them.






At church on Sunday we thought that Finn was going to get us into huge trouble. When we picked him up from the nursery he got so excited to see us that picked up an enormous toy and threw it in the general direction of all the other children. We all freaked out just a little.

Later on in the day we had a heavy but short rainfall. After the rain, Finn decided to drink out of the rain gutter.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
