White Family Reunion

Today was a big day for the Begley boy's.  The started the morning off nice and early.  Finn decided he wanted pancakes.  I was in a big hurry, so I made two pieces of regular toast and put syrup on them.  He didn't even notice the difference.

My breakfast was a bit better.  I met Victoria and Sharon for breakfast at Mimi's to celebrate Victoria's 3?th birthday :)  It was an enjoyable and entertaining meal that I hope to make a more regular occurrence.

Once I got home me and the boys traveled to the Green Hill's area for the White Family reunion.  Finn discovered early in the day the desert table.  He went back several times for chocolate covered almonds.

The reunion was really nice. Admittedly I only knew a handful of people, but the ones that I knew I love dearly.   I have posted several pictures as a summary of the day.














Emily and I discovered that Hank thinks his cousin Finn is pretty neat.

On the way home we got stuck in a big hail storm.  The boys slept soundly through it while I listened to Harry Potter.  When we got home Finn went outside and helped Michael mow.  Later in the night we all went upstairs and played with Finn's kitchen.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
