Dinosaur Petting Zoo

On Saturday we all met Gran at the happiest place on earth - TPAC!  Gran got the boys tickets to see ERTH's Dinosaur Petting Zoo.  It was a funny, interactive show featuring enormous and state of the art dinosaur puppets.  We sat on the second row - really close to the action.  Finn was very nervous.  He liked the show but he didn't want to participate.  The first set of dinosaurs that they brought out were babies.  Sam and I went on stage to pet them.

Next they brought out an enormous bug followed by a two mid-size dinosaurs.  The best part was the T-Rex; it was HUGE and pretty scary for a puppet.  Sam was going nuts.  He wanted to get on stage and touch that dinosaur so badly that he couldn't stand it.  He stood on my knees and reached both hands out and stretched as far as he could toward the stage while saying "whoa" or Wowee!"   I so pleasant surprise how much Sam loved and paid attention to the show. During the T-Rex scene they allowed small children to come on stage.  The T-Rex scared them all half to death. One little girl took flying leap off the stage and ran straight to her mom.  This was, by itself, was worth the price of admission.

The last dinosaur they brought out was a Brontosaurus. Both boys really enjoyed the show, but Sam was a joy to watch.  Thank you Gran.  It was so awesome!

After it was over we waited in the lobby to see if some of the dinosaurs would make a second appearance.  They didn't, but the boys found other ways to entertain themselves.  Sam climbed up and down the stairs.  And Finn attempted to get rich.

On the way out we stopped at legislative plaza and let the boys walk around for a few minutes.  They really liked the fountains - of course.
