The TRUE Bible

Interesting things happens when I am getting ready.  I usually stand in the bathroom with the door open while Finn and Sam play close by. Tonight as I was getting ready, I see two sets of legs protruding from underneath my bed.  Both boys were gently attempting to coax Fannie out from under the bed by attacking her with bow staffs and swords.  I heard Finn yell,  "Grab onto my bow staff and I will pull you out!" Anyone who is familiar with Fannie will understand that Fannie does not take well to loud noises, kids or coaxing of any kind.  However, I allowed them to continue on with their fruitless quest as it gave me a few more minutes of relative peace in which to get ready.

The next thing that I heard was Finn asking Sam, "do you want me to read from the true Bible?"  Sam responds, "Yes" and Finn begin to read as follows: "Jesus died on the cross so that when we make wrong choices we can be forgiven - The End."  I peeked around the corner to find Finn and Sam laying on the bed reading from "The Fundamentals of Estate Planning."  Sam was reading right next to Finn from "Tha Shack" Sam then starts to yell - "Mama- its true!"

The next time I emerged from the bathroom I see Finn sitting in the window sill - the kicker was he had opened the window and was leaning against the screen - on the second floor.  I almost had to jump start my heart.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
