Excitement Thy Name is Finn

Today was a day of "firsts" for the Finnster.

1. Finn did not cry when we dropped him off at the nursery. He looked like he was about to cry, but he never quite made it. Thank goodness for Mr. Howard. I don't know Mr. Howard's last name, but he is a nursery worker at church. Finn has always liked Mr. Howard and much to my delight Mr. Howard was in Finn's room today.

2. Finn participated in his first "Fantasy Football Draft." About an hour before the draft started we noticed that the desktop computer wouldn't connect to the internet. This was a problem because both Michael and I need to be online in order to draft. We ended up finding a way to both draft using the laptop. It was a lot of fun. We all three sat at the kitchen huddled around the laptop. Finn sat in his highchair and ate an entire slice of cheese. I gave him some Fiber One cereal to combat the affects of the cheese.
He seemed to intuitively know that something important was going on because he didn't fuss or squirm. He was in a good mood and seemed to really enjoy watching his crazy Mom and Dad draft. Near the end he drank his bottle sitting under the kitchen table.

Next Finn took a long nap while sitting in my lap. Mind you this is not a first. In fact, this is the only way that Finn will nap. When I was sure that he was sound asleep I carried him upstairs to his room. I kid you not, the second I walked into his room those eyes popped open and he started crying. So, we finished the nap downstairs in the glider. Not that I mind.

After Finn woke up he played with Kodiak.

Later in the evening Brandon and Addison stopped by to look at our computer. Apparently we have a driver on our internet card out. Michael tried to blame the whole thing on Finn. Yesterday Finn turned the computer off without powering down first; the nerve! While the Dad's were looking at the computer, the boys played with "Thomas the Train."

These are videos of Finn getting excited. On Friday Gran introduced Finn to the doorbell. Today we videoed his reaction. The second video is of Finn playing with his strobe light ball.
