Birthday Buddies

In Sunday School today we celebrated all the September birthdays. Monica and Finn are what we have coined "birthday buddies." Finn was born on the 17th of September and Monica was born on the 18th of September. In honor of the all the birthdays - including Macaiha (September 7th) we had cookies, cake and Sam even brought Dunkin Doughnuts. Monica bought Finn an adorable dinosaur three piece outfit. Finn looks so cute in it! He wore the onsie to Victoria's house on Monday. Thank you so much Monica! Finn loves you too!

Finn was in a lousy mood at the Sunday School party but he did cheer up long enough to take a few good shots. Look how cute they look together. One day maybe Monica can be Finn's baby sitter?????

Here is a picture of Finn with Annabelle. Ahhhh. Check out Lindsey Apedaile in the background.

After church we came home and watched the Titan's game. Finn and I fell asleep during half time. After waking up I rearranged all of Finn's toys. Now he has a few toys downstairs, some toys in his room and the bulk in the TV room.

Later in the night Deniece came over to film Finn for her psychology class project. Of course Finn didn't cooperate. However, I learned an interesting fact - Finn loves Phantom of the Opera (the movie)! The minute I put in it he stood right in front of TV completely mesmerized. I decided to cash in on this new found fascination and rocked Finn while watching the video. He didn't move a muscle. He sat perfectly still and watched for 20 minutes and then he fell asleep. I was amazed.

The next day (Monday) I gave it another go and sure enough the minute I turned on the movie Finn settled right down, watched the movie and eventually fell asleep. I have to tell Deanna!

Since I wasn't able to take any pictures today (Monday) I decided to combine Sunday and Monday into one post. This morning Finn got his first "non-shot" related bruise. Unfortunately I gave it to him. While I was eating breakfast on the love seat (English muffin with cream cheese) Finn came over to ask for a bite. I usually share my English muffins with him so I grabbed one half of the muffin and offered it to Finn. Well, in the process I fumbled the muffin and the plate. The muffin fell onto Finn and stuck to him (because it had cream cheese on it). The plate fell rim first right on to Finn's big toe. The muffin fell off of Finn's chest when he started screaming in pain. He looked so pitiful with cream cheese all over his chest. I noticed during the Finn's bath that his big toenail is almost entirely purple. I hope he doesn't lose it.

On the way to Victoria's this morning Finn listened to his Philly Joe Giraffe jazz CD. It is the cutest CD; before every song there is a drum lesson. Finn thought the music was hilarious. He sat in the backseat of the car and laughed his little head off. I have a feeling I need to thank Papa (Greg) for this little jewel!
