Wednesday

I picked Finn up today from Victoria's house at 4:00. Then we went to see Mr. Oliver and Evelyn. The last time we went to see Mr. Oliver, Finn really hurt his feelings. Today, Finn made an attempt to make it up to him by at least reaching for Mr. Oliver. He didn't want to sit with him for very long, but he would go to him. After leaving the office Finn and I went to Kroger's to get a few things to make dinner for Scott and Amy.

While at the store Finn had a sample of caramel cake, some cubed cheese and a graham cracker straight from the box. When we got to the check out counter Finn started reaching into the buggy behind us; he was trying his best to grab yogurt from a stranger. The guy buying the yogurt gave me the evil eye. I think that he thought we were weird.


When we got home Finn talked to his dad on speaker phone while eating some chicken noodle soup for dinner.

Then he started begging for desert. He found his Teddy Grahams in the cabinet, pulled them down and brought them over to me.

We didn't get home until after 6:00 so Finn didn't have a whole lot of time to play before bed. He did look at his farmer book and "moo" for a few minutes. After a long, long bath Finn went to bed without crying.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
