Lunch with Macey T

Today Finn and I had lunch with Shelley and Macey T. at O'Charleys. We had a pretty good time except for these two women who kept coming over and touching Finn and Macey. It was really quite annoying. After lunch Finn and I went to Michael's where we bought a few pine cones to spray paint for the Christmas tree. Once we got back to the house I started decorating the Christmas Tree. Finn sat in his swing and watched the entire time. Since this is our first Christmas with Finn so I got to hang his "Baby's First Christmas" ornament.

After dinner Finn was in a really needy mood and would fuss if you weren't looking directly at him. I was so perplexed by his behavior. While I was decorating the mantle Michael sat on the couch with Finn. When Michael would look away Finn would whine (loudly) and the second Michael would look back at him, Finn would smile. I am afraid that we have a strong personality on our hands.

Later Pa and Uncle James came over the watch the Monday Night Titan's game. Finn watched a good deal of the game from his pallet.

PS: The picture of Kodiak has nothing to do with Finn but I thought I would post it because it was funny. Tonight when I walked into the kitchen I saw Kodiak nuzzling his head against the mop. I have no clue . . .

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
