Sleepover with Nana

Tonight Nana came to visit! We met her at my office so that she could bring in some plants. After that we went to Blue Coast where Finn attempted to grab everything in site. Going out to eat is becoming very difficult these days. Later that night Mom and I gave Finn a bath and then I fed him. After he ate Mom rocked him to sleep. Finn looked enormous sitting in Mom's lap.
An hour or so later we attempted to put Finn in his crib. A few minutes after putting him down those little eyes popped open and he was ready for another round. I got him up and we went to Mom's room where Finn attempted to help his Nana surf the web. I think that Finn opened every single application on Mom's laptop.
Last night was a very long night. Finn woke up at 12:00, 1:50, 2:30 and 4:00. At 4:00 I threw in the towel and got up with him. Unlike his Mama, Finn didn't seem tired at all. He played in the floor for about an hour while I slept on and off on the couch. At about 5:30 Finn was ready to go back to sleep and the two of us slept on the couch until 7:00ish.
Finn is really enjoying playing on his blue blanket in the floor. The other day I placed Finn on his blanket while I cleaned the kitchen. Before I left him I have him a bottle with prune juice to play with (Finn usually just chews on the bottle). When I went in to check on him we was laying on his pillow watching TV and drinking his prune juice. He looked so content.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
