Beauty is Fleeting

A very wise man once made the comment that "beauty is fleeting." Even though Finn is still too young to understand the words, he is not lost to the concept. Even at the tender age of 10 months he understands that he will not be this pretty for long; so he takes advantage of every opportunity he gets to marvel at himself in the mirror.

The three way mirror was almost more than his little heart could take. (Sorry about the flash).

Today (Monday, the 26) was the first time that we all sat at the table together for dinner. Usually Michael and I eat dinner while Finn plays in the floor. As I mentioned, Finn has been extremely bored with his baby food lately and is pretty much refusing to eat. I thought that if we were all to sit at the table together he would see us eat and would be more likely to eat himself. Well, he ate, but he didn't eat his baby food. He pretty much ate little pieces of what we were eating. He had some ground beef and potato casserole, green beans, little pieces of cheese and apple chunks. He seemed very content sitting at the table with us. I just hope that he is eating enough. Not that we are in any danger of this child starving to death, but it is really hard to measure how much he is actually eating.
