Mr. Wobbles vs. Mr. Finn

Today Finn played with Mr. Wobbles in the bathtub. Mr. Wobbles is an egg shaped chick that won't tip over or sink in the water. Mr. Wobbles was a both a lot fun and a great sense of frustration for Mr. Finn. No matter how hard he tried he could not get Mr. Wobbles to go under water. In desperation Finn would pick up Mr. Wobbles and throw him onto the bottom of the tub with as much force as he could muster. In between his spurts of unbridled energy he would get distracted by his own reflection in the round metal piece in the bathtub.




This is Finn's "Secret of Nimh" picture. Only MJ would understand. There is a character in the movie named Jeremy that wore Mrs. Brisby's cape over his head. He was so funny. MJ could do the best impression! Finn is hot on her heels.
These pictures crack me up. Michael would turn the lights out in the bathroom and I would take Finn's picture in the dark. The flash startled him bit.

In this picture he has moved past startled and is just plain scared to death.

In this picture, Finn is demonstrating to his parents that not only did we scare him, we hurt his feeling quite badly.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
