Rogers/Underhill Wedding

Today Finn and I attended my cousin Stacey's wedding. The wedding was an outdoor event at a bed in breakfast in Morrison, Tennessee. It was one of the prettiest weddings I have ever been too.


Finn and I didn't actually see the ceremony because he started to fuss right before the processional started. We watched the first part of the ceremony from the second story porch and during the second half Finn had dinner inside. He finished up just in time to see the fireworks.

Right after the wedding ended the music for the reception started. While standing in line to get food Finn and I danced to the upbeat, traditional wedding music with Laura and Megan. He had so much fun.
During dinner Finn hung out with his Papa Bumbalough, his uncle Bruce and his second cousin Shane.

He also got to meet Shane and Kayla's son Lane. I think that Lane is his third cousin. One thing is for sure, Lane is precious and so well behaved!
To top the evening off Finn had a little bit of chocolate.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
