Pay No Attention to that Baby Behind the Curtain

Today Finn went to stay with Victoria. It was a great day for Finn because he got to see his buddy J.T. on the day that J.T. turned one year old. For the first time today Finn fussed when Michael made the hand off to Victoria. Michael told me that Finn reached back for him and cried a little. I guess we are now smack dab in the middle of separation anxiety.

Before going to Victoria's house Finn laid on the bed and helped his mom and dad to get dressed. I guess you one could say that he sent good thoughts our way. After getting Finn dressed in his puppy dog romper complete with a tail Finn packed up to leave for the day. Before he did he have his Mama a kiss while she was on the treadmill.






I had to a late appointment today so Michael had to pick Finn up from Victoria's. When I got home Finn was jumping on the couch. He really didn't seem that excited to see me. When Michael walks in the room Finn absolutely panics until Michael picks him up. I got a semi sincere smile.

After dinner I took Finn upstairs for his bath. During the bath Kodiak started playing with the shower curtain which prompted Finn to play with the shower curtain as well. He sat up on his knees, grabbed the curtain and ended up pulling the entire curtain into the tub. I kept waiting for him to lose is balance and plop back into the water. But he managed to stay upright.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
