H12

Today Finn turned four months old! How did we celebrate? We left him in the nursery for three hours. We dropped Finn off at the nursery before we went the Sunday School. After Sunday School was over we decided to peek our head in to check on him before service started. When we got to the "caterpillar" room, we saw the nursery worker standing at the door holding Finn. Apparently Finn was having a hard time and wanted to be held. We walked over to make sure he wasn't being too much trouble. As it turns out he was in a good mood. He had his arms wide open and was smile at the gentleman holding him. Then he would put both of his hands on the man's face, look at him and smile. After that we went on to service.

About half way through the service the code "H12" flashed on the big screen. I didn't think anything about it until Michael whispered "that's us." So I hopped up, scurried down to the nursery and found Finn screaming. I felt so sorry for the poor nursery workers. When they gave him to me he immediately quit crying and started smiling. Service was not going to be over for 20 more minutes so Finn and I went to the lactation room.

The three of us spent a nice quiet day together. Finn and I took a little nap while Michael watched the playoffs. Later on, I watched the Golden Globes (awards season is my favorite time of the year) and tried to rock Finn to sleep. He was awake for most of the program. He didn't fuss or eat the entire time either. Instead, he just let me hold him.
