This past weekend we packed up the boys and went to visit Nana and Papa in Manchester.  On the way down we stopped at Chipotle for dinner.  After dinner we over to the Avenue to buy jeans for the boys.

We arrived at Nana and Papa's house around 8:00 that evening.  The boys went to bed pretty quick and Mom, Michael and I watched old episodes of the office. 

The next morning we got up and got ready for our family pictures.  Mom took a lot of pictures of the Will. 










After Em and Zac got there we went out to Hillsboro to get pictures taken at a covered bridge.  The minute we got there Finn and Papa both spotted and retrieved a snake skin.  Consequently, I was a little nervous the rest of the day. 

After pictures we had a quick lunch and then went to Sparta for the 2016 Vaughn Bonfire at Granny's house. On the way there I happened to open the glove compartment in the my car and found this: 


Yes, Finn and Papa put the snake skin in my car.  It scared me to death. 

We spent the rest of the night hanging out with our family.  It was a great night.  Finn and Sam, but especially Finn, loved it.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
