Chewies

 On Friday we went to met Grandad and Gigi at Opry Mills to eat at Chewies and walk the mall.  Before leaving for the mall Finn helped Sam eat.

 When we got to the restaurant Finn picked a seat in between Grandad and Emily.  There was an empty seat next to Michael so he spent much of dinner going back and forth. I my theory is that he was going to the person that would give him the most coke.

 After supper the boys went outside and played.  They spent most of the time running around in circles on a little brick track.  I did manage to get them all together for a picture.

 Next Grandad, Finn and Hank rode the train through the mall. 
 Sam waited with me, Michael and Zack, while everyone else went to see the fish.
 Even though you can't tell in this pictures, both boys came back laughing their little heads off.
 Then we went to ride the Carousel.


 Hank was not a fan of the horses.
 We spent the rest of the evening walking around the mall.  The boys started to tire around 7:30, so we said our goodbyes and headed home.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
