Graduation

It has been a rough couple of days. We think that Finn is cutting his 2 year molars and he pretty uncomfortable. We have been giving him medicine which has helped with the pain and the fever, but he isn't completely himself.

This morning he woke up at 3:30 and then got in the bed with us. He was up again at 5:30 and had no intention of going back to sleep so I got up with me and we went downstairs and hung out on the couch. He asked to watch Chess so I put it in and fell back to sleep. I slept on and off for awhile, but we both ended up going back to sleep around 8:30 and slept until 10:00. When I woke up Finn was on top of me with his head on my neck.

Then we started getting ready for the MTSU graduation. Chelsea (James long time girlfriend) graduated from MTSU today. Around 1:00 we hopped in the car and headed towards Murfreesboro. Finn slept most of the way there.

This is Finn playing with the graduation balloons.

The best thing about this picture is the sign (out of frame) that says "DO NOT GET IN THE GRASS."

Chelsea and the Begley bunch.

After the graduation ended we made the long walk back to the car and headed to Fulin's for dinner. Since Finn has been feeling rotten he hasn't had an appetite so about 2 minutes after setting him in the high chair he started saying he was all done. To keep him occupied while our food was being prepared I took Finn outside and we walked around "The Avenue." Finn was so sweet, he held my hand the entire time. In all honesty though he probably wouldn't have if I hadn't threatened him within an inch on his life.

On the way back to the restaurant Finn fell down and scuffed his knee. Let me tell you this child is super dramatic. There was no mark whatsoever, but Finn whined about his knee for ages. He wouldn't even walk the rest of the way back.

After eating, Finn, Michael, Uncle Charlie, Chelsea, James, Nathan, Madeline and I all went outside to say our goodbyes. Once again Finn fell down and scraped his knee - except this time he actually scraped it.

You can kind of see the scrape on his left knee.

This is a picture of Finn telling me all about it.

Once we got home Finn was exhausted. Considering that he was sick and was either in the carseat or in a high chair or sitting relatively still at Graduation, Finn was really very good. Once we got home, he crawled up in lap, asked to watch Phantom and then went to sleep.
