Thank You Harry Potter

On Friday afternoon I dropped the Finnster off at Gran's and met Michael at the Airport DoubleTree. When Michael and I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter we got a free night at a DoubleTree. It was a really relaxing night. I was able to shower and get ready for dinner without worrying what Finn was in to.

Dinner was interesting and very delicious . . . we went to Cock of the Walk to eat Catfish. The rest of the night was restful, I laid in the enormous bed, ate Skittles and watched "Big Bliss" while Michael watched the Grizzly's game in the sitting room.

We slept until 9:30 and had a big and free breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we picked Finn up from Gran and Pa's house. We learned that Finn woke up at 4:30 in the morning and didn't go back to sleep. This definitely caught up with him around 6:30 when he started fussing and wouldn't quit for love or money.

For dinner Finn had mac-n-cheese and half of a muffin. At 7:00 he crawled up in my lap and went straight to sleep.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
