Miss You

Today Michael picked Finn up from Victoria's. When they got home Finn found me sitting at the kitchen table preparing for tomorrow's hearing. When we saw me he came over to where I was sitting and hopped in my lap. I gave him a big hug and he hugged me back. Then I said "I missed you" and he looked at me and said "miss you." I just melted. Then Finn and I had a short conversation. I asked him about the scratch on his knee and he pointed to it. Then I asked "what boo-boos do" and he said "hurt" and finally I asked out he got his boo-boo and he said "fall down." It's neat to see how he is starting to be able to comprehend questions and know how to answer them properly.



Later on in evening Michael gave Finn a bath. After his bath he came running in my office area naked as a jaybird. Finn loves when I make copies. Once the copy is made and comes out onto the tray Finn will take it off the tray and bring it to me. He gets so excited when he hears the copier. He runs over in anticipation and grabs for the paper and fast as he can. Since he was naked I could only post this one picture.

Today we woke up at 6:30 to prepare for our big day at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The shuttle from the hotel left for the park at 8:00 meaning that we had to be downstairs and ready to go at 7:45. At 7:30 we realized that we had to book our spot on the shuttle the night before. Oops. For two people with jobs requiring close attention to detail we completely fall apart in our personal life. Fortunately we were able to purchase a ticket and catch the 8:00 shuttle anyway. The shuttle ride was interesting; we ended up sitting behind a young couple that could have left about 90% of their PDA in their hotel room and it still would have been too much for my taste. When we got to the park we noticed our ticket required that we show I.D. Well, I didn't bring my purse with me. Oops. After reading and rereading the fine print, we lawyerly types figured out an interpretation that would allow me to get into the park without producing photo i.d. We geared up for the fight

High Ankle Sprain

Wednesday night I got a strange phone call from Michael; he asked if I could get an ice pack and a couple ibuprofen ready for him.  Check it out . . .   He went to the doctor Thursday morning and came home with a boot, a pressure sock and a pair of crutches.  Looks like he will be out of commission for approximately two months.

Sunday

On Sunday morning we slept until 9:30!  Finn was up with the sun, of course, but Sam slept until a little after 9:00. When we got up the sun was shining so we decided to hang the boys gourd bird house from Mr. Gene.  So far we have really enjoyed going to church on Sunday night.  Finn specifically told me that he likes night church better because he can get up and play.  The boys had a pajama party at school today.  It was in honor of Ms. Jenn's last day before maternity leave.  Finn was very excited to show his friends his godzilla feet. Big morning for Finn.  Last night was the first night that we have not put a nighttime pull-up on Finn.  He woke up with a dry bed!
